American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology
The
Award of Excellence Scholarship Program provides college scholarships for
asthmatic students.
The
Donnelly Awards scholarship program offers $5,000 awards to scholar-athletes
ages 14-21 who play interscholastic, intercollegiate or intramural tennis and
have type I diabetes. The award can be used for education, athletic development
and/or medical care.
American Indian Science & Engineering Society (AISES)
Scholarships
are awarded to members of AISES who are American Indian or Alaskan Native
college students pursuing academic programs in the engineering, mathematics,
medicine, natural resources, or land science fields.
The
American Library Association provides undergraduate and graduate scholarships
to students enrolled in Library Science degree programs. Also offers Century
Scholarships to students with disabilities.
American Medical Women’s Association Foundation
Offers
female medical student who are members scholarships for community service,
activity in women's health issues and participation in AMWA and other women in
medicine groups.
Offers
Congressional Postgraduate Science Fellowships to society members who will
assist members of Congress in understanding the technical and scientific issues
of global warming, energy policy, defense technologies, AIDS, pollution,
communications technologies, and more. Offers special awards for APS members
who are on the faculty in physics (and closely related) departments and to
those who have made significant and innovative contributions in the application
of physics to science and technology.
Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association
Offers scholarships for U. S. military veterans or active-duty
personnel to pursue communication careers. Scholarships are also available for
nonmilitary (civilian) students in a variety of programs.
Association of Iron and Steel Engineers
Offers
an annual Merit Scholarship Competition for sons and daughters of AISE members.
The
Bank of America Foundation provides substantial scholarships to persons with
disabilities. Qualified candidates include high school graduating seniors,
four-year college or university undergraduates, or students attending a
technical or vocational school. The scholarships are awarded to students who
have permanent residence in Texas. Qualifications for the scholarship include a
cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale; three letters
of recommendation; finance, business or computer systems major; the completion
of an essay and written documentation from an appropriate provider verifying
the candidate meets the definition of disabled as defined by the Americans with
Disabilities Act. Interested eligible applicants should contact The Bank of

The
foundation supports its members through a variety of educational fellowships,
grants, and loans. Also awards, on an individual basis, grants for members to
pursue careers in science.
Offers
the Lilly Reintegration Scholarship to help people with schizophrenia and related
schizophrenia-spectrum disorders acquire the educational and vocational skills
necessary to reintegrate into society, secure jobs and regain their lives.
Offers
merit-based scholarships to members, or children of members, to pursue computer
technology careers.
Federal Employee Education & Assistance Fund
To
date, FEEA has awarded over $2.75 million in college scholarships exclusively
to federal and postal employees and their family members.
Horace Mann Scholarship Program
Scholarship
funds are available to help children of public school employees attend college.
Offers
scholarships to students with immune deficiencies and fellowships to students
wishing to pursue postdoctoral studies in the field of Primary Immune
Deficiency Diseases.
Japanese American Citizens League
Offers
scholarships to high school seniors, undergraduates, graduates, and law
students. Every applicant must be a
National JACL member.
Offers
scholarships to college-bound graduating high school seniors who are Key Club
members.
Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
Offers
one-year undergraduate scholarships for the children of active duty, reserve,
or former U.S. Marines. (No enlistment conditions attached to the
scholarships.)
National Association of Hispanic Nurses
Nursing
scholarships are awarded to members with academic excellence that have a
financial need.
Orphan Foundation of America National Scholarship Program
The
OFA has several scholarship programs for orphans and youth in foster care to
pursue education beyond high school.
State Farm Companies Foundation
The
foundation awards fifty $3,000 scholarships annually to students pursuing
careers in business-related areas. Offers achievement scholarships for minority
students. Offers scholarships to employees and their dependents.
U. S. National Institute of Health
The
NIH is one of the world's foremost medical research centers, and the Federal
focal point for medical research in the U.S. The NIH offers undergraduate
scholarships in biomedical research as well as several other medical areas.
Also offers scholarships for minorities and students with disabilities.
The Walton Foundation Scholarship is a $6,000 scholarship payable over four years awarded to college bound high school seniors. The recipients must work for Wal-Mart or be the child of a Wal-Mart employee who is employed full time.
